Come to an open day on 29 November 2017, where cooperation partners are invited to have a look at some of the new, state-of-the-art facilities in DTU's largest building complex to date and hear about the activities in the field of aquatic resources, food and health, and the veterinary area.

Buildings 201, 202, 204 and 205B form the new research complex at DTU Lyngby Campus. The new and unique academic environment houses state-of-the-art facilities for research, innovation, research-based advice and teaching in the field of life science and bioengineering, with a special focus on aquatic resources, food and health, and the veterinary area.

Spread over 42,000 m2, DTU's largest construction project to date includes both newly built and renovated facilities, which house more than 250 specialized laboratories, office areas and world-class teaching facilities as well as a canteen, meeting rooms and café areas.

On 29 November, DTU is offering all cooperation partners a rare opportunity to come to an open day from 14:00-17:00.

Guests can take a tour of different parts of the buildings to see some of the new facilities.

The departments in the building will present research areas, innovation projects, advisory tasks and business-relevant study activities at different stands located throughout the oak tree-clad atrium – the Biosphere – which won the Carpenter Prize (Tømrer Prisen) in 2017.There will also be an opportunity to hear brief presentations about ongoing activities, results achieved and future perspectives from leading employees. Finally, refreshments will be served as you make your way to the things you choose to see and hear about.

You can for example visit the 'Blue Unit', a research unit which houses laboratories for experimental work with algae and fish. Or you can zoom into the micro-world of vitamins, fatty acids, trace elements and nanoparticles in foods by visiting the analytical infrastructure for chemical food analysis based on mass spectrometry.

The programme for the event will be announced at a later stage.
