Quality assurance

In 1995, DTU National Food Institute implemented a quality management/quality assurance system and was accredited by DANAK (the Danish Accreditation Fund). Subsequently, many chemical and microbiological methods have been accredited and lots of internationally accepted analytical results have been produced.

The quality assurance system is intended to ensure and document the quality of the analyses and the surveys as well as the quality of the function as reference laboratory (both national and EU community). Besides, the quality assurance system ensures that the requirements from the public authorities and other customers in relation to advisory questions are met.

DTU National Food Institute is accredited to testing according to the standard DS/EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories) and as provider of proficiency testing according to the standard DS/EN ISO/IEC 17043:2010 (Conformity assessment – General requirements for proficiency testing).
