In her PhD project at the National Food Institute, Pimlapas Leekitcharoenphon evaluated whole genome sequencing approaches and their use in epidemiological typing and outbreak investigation of Salmonella, and applied whole genome sequencing in spatial-temporal analysis of global and local occurrence of S. Typhimurium DT104.
