International climate conference gathers businesses and scientists

International cross-functional conference for businesses and scientists sets out to find efficient climate solutions for the reduction of the agricultural carbon footprint. The conference takes place in May 2023 in Copenhagen.

The world is facing enormous challenges: The climate challenges demand large reductions in the agricultural carbon footprint while at the same time there is a need for increased food production for the world’s growing population.

In Denmark we are committed to pushing the development and leading the way in sharing and implementing knowledge from science and research to practice. The international climate conference Agri-Food & Climate Circle 2023 brings together agri-food research and industry in the hunt for solutions, which will aid us all in reaching the goals of reducing the climate footprint of the agri-food sector.

The conference is organized by SEGES Innovation in collaboration with leading Danish universities and companies from the agri-food industry including DTU National Food Institute. It will take place 10-11 May 2023 in Copenhagen.

Exchange of new green ideas

Until 31 January, everyone can contribute to the conference by submitting any new green idea which match the seven conference topics. New ideas can be new products, new research results or new innovative ideas with relevance for businesses or authorities. The best submissions are accepted to the programme and the marketplace for green ideas.

The two-day conference programme combines presentations, panel discussions and debates within the topics: circularity & resource optimization, consumers’ influence on the green transition, sustainable land usage, sustainable livestock production, perspectives on plant-based protein in food products, and biotechnology as alternative source of protein.
