The Research Group for Global Capacity Building offers a three-week MSc summer course focusing on antimicrobial resistance and surveillance, including hands-on laboratory work in susceptibility testing and whole-genome sequencing.
The course provides a multi-disciplinary approach to assess antimicrobial resistance in bacterial pathogens and to understand this global threat. The course provides hands-on laboratory experience in both conventional antimicrobial susceptibility testing and whole genome sequencing technologies and bioinformatics analysis. The course requires basic knowledge in microbiology, microbial physiology and biochemistry.
The course fee is EUR 2000, covering in-person participation and lab costs. External participants may opt out of the final week (focused on group work and exam) and will in this case receive a certificate of completion instead of a grade transcript.
