Diagnostics and analyses

DTU National Food Institute offers consultancy and analytical services related to food and food production to authorities, as part of its role as national and European reference laboratory.

A wide range of the institute’s laboratory analyses in the areas of microbiological food safety, nutrients, and chemical contaminants are accredited by DANAK under registration number 350. A complete list of accredited analyses is available in the institute’s method list on DANAK’s website.

The institute also provides proficiency testing for zoonotic pathogens and indicator organisms (including serotyping, identification, and resistance determination), pesticides in grain, grain products and feed, process contaminants, as well as metals and nitrogen-containing compounds in food and feed. These services are accredited under registration number 516.
