Proficiency tests on pesticides

The proficiency tests aim to improve the quality, accuracy and comparability of the analytical results generated by EU member states within the framework of the EU multi-annual coordinated control and national monitoring programmes.

It is mandatory for EU member states to participate in proficiency testing for pesticides. This means that the national reference laboratories (NRLs) and official laboratories (OfLs) must participate. Official laboratories from the EFTA countries and EU candidate countries and some third countries are invited to participate.
