DTU Food is looking for a responsible and motivated student assistant for the Research Group for Nutrition, Sustainability and Health Promotion, where we carry out the Danish National Survey of Diet and Physical Activity among other population-based surveys. Data are used for research, advice and teaching in nutrition, sustainability and food safety.

The job
Your primary tasks will include:

  • Research Data Management
  • Database querying and extractions of research data
  • Implementing data processing steps and data pipelines
  • Server and software deployment

Our expectations of you
We place emphasis on the following professional and personal qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently in a Linux environment
  • Ability to script in R or Python and SQL with independent programming capabilities
  • Organized and structured
  • Excellent communication skills in Danish, both orally and in writing, and preferable in English as well.
  • Service-minded and good at collaboration across multiple stakeholders
  • Are enrolled in a relevant study programme at KU, ITU, DTU or similar

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the multi-union collective agreement for the Confederation of Teachers Unions and the Danish Confederation of Public Employees of 2010 (LC/CO10) and the trade union agreement for public service IT employees (PROSA) – or other relevant collective agreement.

Working hours are 8 hours per week. Starting date is 1st of September 2022 (or according to mutual agreement). The employment runs as long as you are an active student.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus.
