Changes in structure and management

DTU National Food Institute now has a flatter structure, a deputy head, and in addition to the Institute Secretariat and the Service Unit an Academic Secretariat to support the academic work.

From 1 January 2022, DTU National Food Institute looks a little different.  At least in terms of the organizational chart, where the management structure has become flatter.

The previous division structure has been removed and all head of research groups now report directly to Institute Director of DTU National Food Institute Christine Nellemann.

The changes are a natural part of the development within the Institute, where the research groups have long been the mainstays. Furthermore, the timing was right, as Heads of Division Anette Schnipper and Henning Høgh Jensen have both chosen to pursue new professional challenges.

Deputy Head of Institute Tine Rask Licht

Continuing her work as a professor and Head of the Research Group for Gut, Microbes and Health, Tine Rask Licht has also been appointed Deputy Head of DTU National Food Institute, thus contributing an academic focus and group leader perspective to the Institute’s management.

Academic Secretariat

Former Head of Division Dorte Lau Baggesen will now head the newly established Academic Secretariat, supporting the research groups in their work within research, scientific advice, innovation, and education. The Academic Secretariat includes the former Research Promotion Unit and student administration.

In addition, the Institute will still include the Institute Secretariat and the Service Unit, which support the Institute’s employees and management in a wide range of other areas.

The Institute’s management

With the recent changes, the Institute’s management now consists of:

Director of Institute Christine Nellemann
Deputy Head of Institute Tine Rask Licht
Head of the Academic Secretariat Dorte Lau Baggesen
Head of the Institute Secretariat and Communications Heidi Kornholt
Senior Executive Officer Michael Wegge Andreasen
