PhD defense on livestock as source of salmonella in humans

The National Food Institute invites to Leonardo Victor de Knegt’s PhD defense on the proportion of Salmonella infections in humans in EU, derived from animals. The defense takes place 22 April 2013 at 13.00.

In his PhD, Leonardo Victor de Knegt from the National Food Institute has estimated the proportion of Salmonella in humans in EU, which can be attributed to pigs, broiler chickens, turkeys and layer hens. He has also evaluated the method used and compared it to the Danish Salmonella source account model.
