Toxicological effect assessment

DTU National Food Institute performs research-based toxicological risk assessments.

A toxicological risk assessment is a systematic review of chemicals’ possible health effects in humans. The chemicals can be both natural and synthetic

The National Food Institute also assesses the impact of GMOs on humans and methods for testing the effects of GMOs and chemicals.

We ensure a high quality of advice by using experts with the latest knowledge from research and from national and international advisory organisations.

Our research also identifies the future needs in toxicology, and we leverage our knowledge of the needs in the society in our research.
