Analytisk og prædiktiv mikrobiologi

Research Group for Analytical and Predictive Microbiology

The group’s focus is developing innovative methods for the detection, typing and quantification of foodborne and waterborne microorganisms. These methods will e.g. be applied in innovative projects that contribute to solving the food industry’s challenges related to productivity and resource optimization, fx recycling of water. Its focus also includes the societal need for knowledge of epidemiology and disease surveillance.

The aim is to develop new, fast and cost-efficient methods, which can be used onsite to effectively document food safety in production chains. Although focus is on pathogenic microorganisms such as campylobacter, salmonella and norovirus, the ambition is to focus more broadly on developing tools that can be used to document quality, traceability and authenticity.
