New director of the National Food Institute

Christine Nellemann is new acting director of the National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark, and will take the lead in solving vital societal problems within the institute’s area of responsibility. She has worked at the institute for more than 15 year, most recently as head of Division of Toxicology and Risk Assessment.

Christine Nellemann has a background in human biology and holds a PhD degree from University of Copenhagen. She has worked at the institute for more than 15 years, initially as post doc to study endocrine disruptors, later on as senior researcher, research manager and head of Division of Toxicology and Risk Assessment.

Bringing with her this strong research profile she will take the lead in solving vital societal problems within the institute’s areas of responsibility: Research at a high, international level, teaching of engineering students and other persons and research-based consultancy to public authorities and companies.
