PhD defence on new tools for risk assessment in dairy products

Food safety Mathematical modelling
The National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark, invites you to Nina Bjerre Østergaard’s PhD defence on new tools for risk assessment and dairy product development. The defence takes place on Friday, 3 October 2014 at 14.00 hours.

In her PhD project, Nina Bjerre Østergaard from the National Food Institute explored how to develop new or extend existing mathematical models to be used for risk assessment and product development of fresh, fermented dairy products. Through her work, Nina Bjerre Østergaard has developed new, deterministic and stochastic models for growth of Listeria monocytogenes together with starter lactic acid bacteria and aroma lactic acid bacteria.

See the invitation to Nina Bjerre Østergaard’s PhD defence of the thesis: Predictive Food Microbiology – new tools for risk assessment and dairy product development.
