The National Food Institute is EFSA’s collaboration centre in Denmark, and head of division Flemming Bager is the Danish representative on EFSA’s Advisory Forum. The visit is therefore organized in cooperation between EFSA and the National Food Institute.

EFSA collaboration centre in Danmark

EFSA has established national collaboration centres (focal points) in all EU member states. The National Food Institute undertakes the role of collaboration centre in Denmark.

As the national collaboration centre the National Food Institute acts as a link between EFSA and Danish stakeholders. This applies to regulators, research institutions and commercial entities working in risk assessment of food and feed, nutrition, animal and plant health and animal welfare.
