Schools and Daycare

Schools and day care institutions are important factors for children’s dietary habits. A large part of children’s food intake takes place in schools or day care institutions.

The research at the National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark contributes with knowledge on dietary intake among children in the time they spend in schools and institutions. It also contributes with assessments of the nutritional effects of various approaches in schools and day care institutions.

The focus area schools and day care institutions involves development of suitable measurement methods. The results form the basis for public sector consultancy.
