The nutritional research and advisory services at the National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark, increases our knowledge of the effect of selected food components, healthy dietary habits and contributes to the prevention of diet-related diseases.
The institute focuses on both known nutrients and other healthy substances and microorganisms in food. We also study nutritional effects of food composition, compile data for basic nutrients in diets, conduct large-scale representative surveys of Danish dietary habits and measure the effect of dietary interventions.
