At National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark you can do a research programme on par with the best in the world. As a PhD student, you will be a part of a research group, and you must complete an independent, scientific project producing a written dissertation and passing a public defence of your PhD project.
The PhD programme is a learning process where you, as a PhD student, through supervision, will learn how to conduct research.
The supervisor and the PhD student work together in a team in order to produce the best research within the field of study.
The PhD programme consists of:
- An independent scientific project
- A course equalling 30 ECTS points
- An obligation to work for a maximum of 840 hours, such work taking the form of counselling or teaching and involving the dissemination of knowledge
- An external period of study
- A dissertation
- A public defence
